Human Resource Business Partner

Serves as a strategic HR advisor to managers and employees, leading employee relations, talent and performance management, compliance, compensation support, and HR analytics. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 5–10+ years of HR experience, including HRBP experience supporting engineering, product, and design teams.

Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Advise managers on workforce planning, team structure, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Align HR initiatives with business objectives to support performance and employee success.

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Address employee concerns and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Handle employee relations matters, investigations, and conflict resolution in compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Implement and support engagement initiatives that improve satisfaction and retention.

Talent and Performance Management

  • Support goal setting, feedback, performance management, and career development processes.
  • Coach managers on employee development and succession planning.
  • Assist with learning and development programs.

HR Compliance and Policies

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Update and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Partner with legal and HR teams on employment law matters.

Compensation, Benefits, Metrics, and Reporting

  • Advise on compensation and benefits programs, salary reviews, and benchmarking.
  • Analyze HR data and trends and report metrics including turnover, engagement, and DEI efforts.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of human resources experience, preferably in an HR business partner role.
  • Previous HRBP experience supporting an Engineering, Product, and Design organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, employment law, and labor-law compliance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to assess needs, solve problems, manage multiple priorities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and performance management systems.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup.
  • Knowledge of labor laws across multiple states.
  • Experience with HR analytics.
  • Experience with HiBob, Deel, and Lattice.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.

  • Base salary of $120,000–$150,000 plus bonus.
