Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to strategic customers, including CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, chief architects, and technical decision-makers at Fortune 500 organizations.
- Lead executive briefings, architecture reviews, strategic workshops, and customer meetings addressing complex identity, access, and security challenges.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the sales cycle, including architecture discussions, competitive evaluations, executive decision-making, technical alignment, and risk reduction.
- Build repeatable technical motions, executive messaging, reference architectures, technical playbooks, and customer engagement frameworks for the global Solutions Engineering organization.
- Mentor senior Solutions Engineers and elevate the team’s technical and consultative capabilities.
- Partner with Sales Leadership, Solutions Engineering Leadership, and Enablement on emerging trends, strategic opportunities, and organizational investments.
- Develop enablement programs for emerging technologies and evolving customer challenges.
- Bring customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and implementation insights to Product and Engineering leadership.
- Influence product roadmaps, validate emerging capabilities, support early customer adoption programs, and translate market trends into product and go-to-market strategies.
- Represent 1Password at conferences, executive events, customer advisory boards, analyst briefings, and industry forums.
- Create technical thought leadership through presentations, blogs, webinars, and whitepapers.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise technology, cybersecurity, consulting, solutions engineering, enterprise architecture, or technical leadership.
- Demonstrated success influencing executive technology leaders in Fortune 500 organizations.
- Deep technical expertise in identity, access management, privileged access, cloud security, developer platforms, SaaS security, or AI security.
- Exceptional executive communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes and compelling narratives.
- Ability to influence enterprise architecture decisions across large, complex organizations.
- Experience supporting strategic enterprise sales opportunities and partnering with executive sales teams.
- Strong understanding of enterprise buying processes and modern sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC.
- Experience building technical strategies, reusable methodologies, or scalable customer engagement frameworks.
- Ability to influence product strategy through customer engagement and market insights.
- Ability to build trusted relationships across Product, Engineering, Sales, and executive leadership while influencing without direct authority.
- Experience speaking to diverse audiences at industry conferences, executive forums, and analyst events.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Success in This Role
