Responsibilities
- Deliver the infrastructure vision for systems processing billions in daily billing transactions, including disaster recovery, production-scale testing, billing correctness, and predictive observability.
- Build Bengaluru's data infrastructure organization by hiring engineering managers, developing infrastructure talent, and establishing a strong engineering culture.
- Own business-critical systems operating 24/7/365 across 100+ regions, improving reliability and eliminating operational toil through self-healing, self-tuning, and self-documenting frameworks.
- Ship platforms that compound engineering leverage, including billing correctness frameworks, regional deployment automation, petabyte-scale data integration systems, and automated testing infrastructure.
- Position infrastructure as a product for internal engineering teams by defining SLAs, measuring adoption and satisfaction, incorporating feedback, and demonstrating business value.
- Define multi-year infrastructure strategy and architecture while partnering with global infrastructure leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 14+ years of experience in distributed systems engineering.
- 6+ years leading infrastructure organizations and 4+ years managing managers.
- Technical depth in petabyte-scale data pipelines and distributed-systems reliability.
- Experience defining multi-year infrastructure visions and translating them into sequential deliverables.
- Experience building 99.999%+ reliable systems with SLOs, SLIs, chaos engineering, disaster recovery, and sophisticated observability.
- Proven ability to scale infrastructure organizations in high-growth environments, develop engineering managers, and maintain a high quality bar.
- Strong executive communication, cross-functional influence, global collaboration, and external technical representation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

- Experience with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, large-scale data infrastructure, fintech or billing systems, or infrastructure leadership through hypergrowth.
