Responsibilities
- Solve real business needs at large scale by applying software engineering.
- Ensure consistent delivery against milestones and strong alignment with field teams, working closely with product leadership.
- Evolve organizational structure to support long-term initiatives and build high-performing teams with effective communication.
- Manage technical debt, long-term technical architecture decisions, and product-roadmap tradeoffs.
- Lead and participate in technical, product, and design discussions.
- Build, manage, and operate highly scalable cloud services.
- Grow leaders through coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities.
- Partner with engineering and product leaders on planning, prioritization, and staffing.
- Create a culture of excellence while leading with empathy.
Requirements
- 15+ years of industry experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience building, growing, and managing high-performance teams.
- Ability to attract and hire engineers who meet organizational hiring principles.
- Experience building and running cloud platforms, or the ability to quickly learn new SaaS concepts.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product management and directly with customers; able to understand product and customer personas deeply.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a master's degree or PhD.
