Senior Software Engineer
Build and test a high-concurrency C++ or Rust transparent proxy that routes uploads through MetaDefender Core for sanitization. The role requires strong object-oriented programming, networking, multithreading, debugging, and interest in AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test SFG in C++ or Rust for Windows/Linux as a transparent proxy between WAF and backend systems.
- Implement the core flow: intercept uploads, forward them to MetaDefender Core over ICAP, and return sanitized files with low latency and high reliability.
- Build multi-threaded, high-concurrency networking components.
- Build and use agentic workflows, including Claude Code and autonomous coding agents, for coding, testing, and debugging.
- Work within a Scrum team, collaborate with Product Management, and conduct peer code reviews.
Requirements
- Strong object-oriented programming background in Java or C#, with willingness to learn or work in C++ or Rust.
- Solid multithreading and network programming skills.
- Knowledge of protocol and network-level concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, and proxying.
- Genuine interest in using AI tools in the development workflow.
- Experience building or using multi-agent systems.
- Strong coding and debugging skills, communication skills, and self-motivation.

- ICAP protocol experience.
- Reverse proxy or gateway experience.
- REST API design.
- Agile/Scrum experience.
- Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, and TeamCity.
- SQLite, PostgreSQL, or other DBMS experience.
