Head of Technical Solutions

Leads and builds Braintrust’s post-sales organization across professional services, technical account management, and enablement. The role combines hands-on customer delivery with team scaling, retention and expansion ownership, operational design, and executive partnership across Sales, Finance, Customer Experience, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead Braintrust’s post-sales function across Professional Services, Technical Account Management, and Technical Enablement.
  • Onboard, implement, and drive early product adoption for key customers.
  • Serve as a strategic technical contact for key accounts, monitor technical health, unblock issues, and ensure ongoing customer value.
  • Own Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) and Net Dollar Retention (NDR); build processes to track, forecast, and improve both metrics.
  • Hire, develop, and scale the Post-Sales team.
  • Create technical enablement programs, documentation, training, and resources for customers and internal teams.
  • Scope engagements, write outcome-driven Statements of Work, and own delivery through completion.
  • Define post-sales offerings, including onboarding, implementation, technical account management, enablement, and advisory services.
  • Establish repeatable delivery, renewal, and expansion playbooks.
  • Partner with Sales and Finance on renewal forecasting, expansion planning, and at-risk account mitigation.
  • Manage the Post-Sales P&L to operate as a cost-neutral or profitable business unit.
  • Feed customer insights, product gaps, and opportunities back to Product and GTM teams.
  • Travel and work onsite with customers as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience building or leading a Post-Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success, Technical Account Management, or Technical Enablement function at a high-growth company.
  • Track record owning and improving GRR and NDR.
  • Strong experience working directly with technical or enterprise customers in complex environments.
  • Experience scoping engagements, writing Statements of Work, and managing delivery against defined outcomes.
  • Experience with renewal and expansion motions, including forecasting and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous customer needs into structured, executable engagements.
  • Strategic and hands-on operating style, particularly in early-stage or scaling environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Willingness to travel and work onsite with customers.
