Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of 5–10 full-stack engineers.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular one-on-ones, and provide actionable feedback.
- Translate business requirements into technical strategies and balance short-term execution with long-term architectural vision.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define project scopes, deliverables, and roadmaps for admin and user portals.
- Guide architectural decisions and technical trade-offs for scalable, secure, highly available microservices.
- Maintain and improve agile development processes, track deliverables, and ensure technical accuracy and operational reliability.
- Coordinate with engineering managers and staff to integrate complex, cross-domain features.
- Identify staffing needs, lead hiring efforts, and onboard engineering talent.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building scalable systems.
- 2+ years of direct engineering management experience.
- Strong architectural background and backend expertise with Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Frontend experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, plus TypeScript.
- Ability to manage project delivery, balance competing priorities, evaluate complex technical information, and solve intricate system challenges.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical discipline, such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
