Senior Software Engineer - Backend
Build and scale high-throughput backend services, resolve production issues, and deliver features progressively in a hybrid engineering environment. The role requires strong software architecture, performance, programming, and AI-assisted development skills.

Responsibilities
- Solve scaling bottlenecks in critical services.
- Deploy new features to production and progressively roll them out using feature flags.
- Investigate and fix production issues in services owned by the team.
- Design approaches to scale services for increased traffic.
- Collaborate with the team to plan upcoming projects.
Requirements
- Significant experience with one or more programming languages.
- Commitment to code simplicity and performance.
- Ability to design architectures for high-scale systems.
- Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in a scientific field, or equivalent experience.
- Interest in working in a fast-growing startup environment.
- Ability to use AI coding tools in day-to-day workflows and build, validate, and refine AI-generated product output.
- Ability to design AI backend systems while considering quality, cost, and latency tradeoffs.
