Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects and make architectural decisions affecting the entire platform.
- Hire and lead an elite engineering team at the Toronto site.
- Drive technical initiatives including system architecture design, solving hard technical problems, technical strategy, and engineering quality standards.
- Mentor engineers and work across team boundaries.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience with track record of leading complex projects.
- Experience hiring teams from scratch.
- Strong opinions on system design with ability to articulate tradeoffs.
- Ability to turn vague problems into clear technical approaches.
- Write excellent code and maintain high standards.
- Comfortable with hard problems, uncertainty, and hands-on coding.
- Experience building scalable systems.
