Tech Lead Manager, Decision Platform
Leads and codes alongside a Trust & Safety engineering squad, owning people management, technical direction, delivery, and operational health. The role requires hands-on software development, AI-assisted development experience, and at least two years of people management.

Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a squad of 4–5 engineers, including hiring, one-on-ones, career coaching, and performance management.
- Own end-to-end delivery, from sprint planning and commitments through service SLAs and operational health.
- Write and ship production code alongside the team.
- Set technical direction, architecture, and quality standards.
- Use AI coding agents and tooling to improve individual and team productivity.
- Partner with Product and Design on scope, prioritization, and quarterly planning.
- Coordinate technical dependencies and serve as the squad’s cross-functional technical point of contact.
- Identify technical debt and advocate for sustainable engineering practices.
- Maintain quality, performance, operational health, on-call, and incident-response practices.
- Develop growth paths toward higher-level individual contributor or TLM roles.
- Contribute to broader Trust & Safety and engineering leadership initiatives.
Requirements
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- Current, hands-on coding ability and a desire to continue coding.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor to accelerate delivery and drive team adoption.
- Experience coaching engineers on execution, skill development, and career progression.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, Design, and Analytics.
- Ability to motivate teams through aggressive schedules and goals.
- Experience with Ruby, React Native, distributed systems, AWS data and compute services, and service-oriented architectures.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $211,000–$248,000.
- Eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits.
