Platform Product Operations Lead - Payward Services
Leads product operations, launch readiness, licensing, and day-to-day governance for Payward Services’ regulated B2B2C platform. Responsibilities
- Own platform product operations and launch readiness for B2B2C products, including KYC/KYB, lending, and unified APIs.
- Gate go-lives against regulatory and operational requirements, and build scalable operations for rapid product delivery.
- Drive cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and external partners.
- Run day-to-day operations across US regulated entities, including licensing maintenance, operational risk and incident management, outsourcing and intra-group coordination, audit and examination readiness, and Board, executive, and management reporting.
- Lead operational work for US licensing programs, including state money transmitter licenses, NMLS filings, and state lending licenses.
- Translate regulatory requirements into governance processes, controls, documentation, and examiner-ready evidence.
- Serve as an operational counterpart to regulators and examiners on information requests, supervisory queries, incident notifications, and follow-up actions.
- Represent regulated entities in board, regulatory, and executive discussions.
- Define core metrics, improve operating systems, and develop scalable operating models for regulated B2B products.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience, including strategy consulting experience and operational execution in-house.
- Experience in a scaling fintech, bank, or crypto firm in special projects, chief of staff, operations strategy, business or product operations, or operations leadership roles.
- Experience operating a B2B or B2B2C technology business, ideally supporting platform teams, shared infrastructure, APIs, or partner-facing models.
- Ability to work deeply with Product and Engineering on product mechanics, flows, failure points, and regulated-market launch requirements.
- Familiarity with the US regulated financial landscape, supervision, and examination processes.
- Experience establishing or working with compliance programs, including KYC/KYB onboarding.
- Track record of leading complex cross-functional programs without formal authority.
- Strong governance and control judgment, with a pragmatic approach to process design.
- Excellent communication skills across regulators, boards, engineers, and commercial partners.
- Comfort with ambiguity, broad ownership, and high-impact operational responsibilities.
Nice to Haves
- Experience supporting or leading end-to-end regulatory-change programs.
- Crypto or digital-assets experience, including crypto-native treasury and custody operations.
- Experience as a founder, GM, or early operations hire at a fintech or crypto startup.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $96,000–$192,000.
