Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive accountability and ownership across global close processes to ensure timeliness and accuracy of deliverables.
• Drive adoption of AI and automation across close areas, including AI-assisted reconciliations, automated accrual workflows, and leveraging the Databricks platform.
• Mentor and manage accounting staff, leading coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements, standard templates, and control points to improve scalability, reduce manual effort, and increase automation.
• Review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, accounting analysis for accruals (specifically cloud), and other areas as needed.
• Support M&A activity including consolidation of acquired entities, new transactions, and integration into accounting infrastructure.
• Review monthly fluctuation analysis for operating expenses.
• Partner with cross-functional teams such as Technical Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, and AP on monthly close matters.
• Prepare and review support for external audit team.
• Support SOX compliance over the financial statement close cycle.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce time to close and improve accuracy.
• Play an active role in ERP transformation to SAP S/4HANA, contributing to design decisions, testing, and change management.
• Perform special projects and financial analysis as needed.

This is an individual contributor role with the opportunity to build and lead a team as the organization grows.

Requirements

• 3+ years of public accounting and 3+ years of industry experience in a high-growth technology or SaaS environment.
• CPA and Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and application across multiple processes, systems, and close areas.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA experience preferred. Prior ERP implementation experience is a strong plus.
• Proven track record driving automation and AI adoption in accounting operations, with hands-on experience implementing tools that reduce manual work and improve close accuracy. Familiarity with data platforms like Databricks is a strong plus.
• Execution-focused, deadline-driven, and process-oriented with ability to deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment and proactively drive improvements.
• Experience managing and coaching accounting staff, with a track record of developing others and driving team accountability.

Compensation

• Zone 1 Pay Range: $145,700—$200,300 USD (this role is in Zone 1).
• Total compensation package may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
