About the role
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the long-term vision for the Accounts Payable function, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.
Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, ACH, wire and virtual-card payment runs, and employee travel and expense reporting.
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing AP team.
Identify and eliminate manual processes through continuous improvement and financial technology automation.
Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Treasury, FP&A, and other departments to create an efficient procure-to-pay experience.
Design, implement, and maintain internal controls compliant with GAAP, SOX, and company policies.
Serve as the primary contact for accounts-payable audits.
Partner with Treasury and FP&A on cash-flow forecasting.
Develop and monitor KPIs, including Days Payable Outstanding and on-time payment metrics.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
8+ years of progressive accounts-payable experience.
At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role managing a team.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume technology, SaaS, or startup environment.
Experience building processes from the ground up in an ambiguous, rapidly growing environment.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and accounts-payable platforms.
Ability to lead, mentor, and scale a team.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience with Sage Intacct and Coupa.
Experience scaling accounts payable for SOX compliance or IPO readiness.
CPA or CTP certification.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $145,000–$175,000 plus bonus.
