About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own crypto-asset and fiat finance, treasury, and accounting priorities including revenue models, wallet structures, and liquidity management.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align financial and treasury infrastructure with payments and settlement flows.
  • Partner with business, product, and go-to-market teams to evaluate pricing strategies, commercial terms, and margin optimization.
  • Build financial models for pricing decisions, product launches, and strategic initiatives with scenario analysis.
  • Optimize financial systems and reporting, implement enhancements for tracking crypto/fiat funds and cloud expenses.
  • Automate processes and integrate cost management tools.
  • Analyze crypto transactions and make actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare reporting on customer/company metrics and reconciliations for compliance.
  • Audit financial processes, identify inefficiencies, and execute changes.
  • Serve as SME for system/partner integrations with financial/compliance impact (e.g., banking, ERP).
  • Own annual budgeting and forecasting with analysis for senior management.
  • Support special projects and ad-hoc initiatives.
  • Monitor/manage fiat, bitcoin, and digital asset liquidity across entities.
  • Execute transfers, wires, bitcoin transactions, and conversions.
  • Develop frameworks for funds safeguarding, settlements, and liquidity stress testing.
  • Leverage AI/ML for reconciliations, anomaly detection, and forecasting.
  • Implement scalable processes/controls for reconciliations and reporting.
  • Partner with Compliance, Accounting, Operations for license renewals and KPI reporting.
  • Explore AI-enabled tools for compliance efficiency.
  • Build playbooks and automation for settlements using AI agents and data pipelines.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in finance roles including analysis, operations, treasury, systems, reporting in fintech/payments/financial services.
  • Experience in regulated payments fintech or crypto company (international a plus).
  • Experience with financial regulatory filings (e.g., state MTLs, FCA/EMI).
  • Familiarity with banking systems and cloud-based financial systems.
  • Experience with traditional payment rails (SWIFT, ACH, SEPA, SPEI) and digital asset flows (bitcoin on-chain, Lightning Network, crypto custody).
  • Proficiency in BI tools: Tableau, Power BI, BigQuery, Looker; advanced financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with GAAP (revenue recognition, fair value).
  • Enthusiasm for business model, crypto/fiat rails, AI technologies.
  • Curiosity with AI/automation tools in finance (AI/ML in forecasting/anomaly detection nice-to-have).
  • Experience leading strategic/financial initiatives.
  • Exposure to API-based banking/exchange integrations (nice-to-have).
  • Strong communication skills, executive presence.
  • Experience in fast-paced startup.
  • Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles, CA.
