Senior Software Engineer, Atlas API Experience
Build and extend the MongoDB Atlas API platform, developer tools, and infrastructure integrations while leading complex projects and mentoring engineers. The role requires strong software development experience, proficiency in a major programming language, API or developer-tooling experience, and cloud infrastructure knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Propose, design, implement, and support product features for the MongoDB Atlas API Platform and MongoDB Atlas DevTools, including Atlas CLI.
- Build developer tooling using Java, Go, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Design and develop software integration components using MongoDB technology in larger contexts and integrate them into partner frameworks or solutions.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance through code and design reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Lead sophisticated projects end to end, breaking large efforts into incrementally shippable deliverables.
- Investigate and resolve complex customer problems, including cross-team escalations, through a Level 2 support rotation.
- Collaborate across multiple teams and time zones to drive projects to completion.
Requirements
- Track record of independently delivering complex projects and leading technical decisions.
- Interest in building systems that manage infrastructure at scale.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate time, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks independently.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript, with ability to learn others.
- Experience building developer tooling, APIs, and/or Infrastructure as Code integrations.
- Working knowledge of at least one major cloud infrastructure platform, such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
