AI Native Senior Software Engineer
Build and ship secure, cross-platform endpoint protection features in modern C++/Qt for Windows, macOS, and Linux. The role requires strong systems fundamentals, debugging and testing experience, and practical use of AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship features across the MetaDefender Endpoint C++/Qt codebase, with Windows as the primary platform and macOS and Linux supported.
- Use GitHub Copilot and Claude Code daily to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation while evaluating AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
- Author and maintain AI context files for owned modules so agents produce consistent, on-pattern code.
- Review human- and AI-generated changes with a security-first lens.
- Mentor teammates on effective AI-tool usage and endpoint-security C++ best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional C++ development experience.
- Strong fundamentals in memory management, concurrency, RAII, design patterns, and secure coding.
- Experience shipping cross-platform desktop or endpoint software on Windows; macOS or Linux experience is a plus.
- Debugging experience with WinDbg, LLDB, or GDB.
- Unit-testing experience with GoogleTest, Catch2, or equivalent.
- 1+ year of professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code to ship production code, with the judgment to evaluate AI-generated output before committing.
Nice to Have
- Experience with endpoint security, antivirus, EDR, device control, or Windows internals.
- Experience authoring AI context files such as
CLAUDE.md,.github/copilot-instructions.md, or.cursorrules. - Familiarity with running AI agents in CI/CD pipelines for automated lint fixes, test generation, or failure triage.
- Python or Go experience.
- Experience shipping Qt/QML applications across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Open-source contributions or personal projects demonstrating effective use of AI tools.
