Responsibilities
- Act as the FD's right hand across strategic and operational finance.
- Own forecasting infrastructure, FP&A, reporting rhythms, commercial analytics, the FinOps stack, and data quality.
- Improve close speed and accuracy and strengthen multi-entity reporting frameworks.
- Lead finance transformation, including agentic workflows for FP&A augmentation, close acceleration, variance commentary, scenario modeling, billing, and cash conversion.
- Select and implement tooling across subscriptions, ERP, expense, AP, and consolidation.
- Mentor the finance team on agent design.
- Use SaaS metrics including NRR, GRR, CAC, payback, magic number, and segment/product unit economics to shape forecasts and investments.
- Own pricing and packaging, including new-product pricing, bundles, renewal pricing, and discount discipline.
- Develop value-realization frameworks and support strategic deals, renewals, and contract restructures.
- Frame capital-allocation trade-offs and present recommendations.
- Own the annual operating plan, budget, headcount and capacity modeling, and investment cases.
- Prepare strategic and commercial sections of the board pack.
- Support fundraising and debt financing through modeling, materials, diligence, banker engagement, and term negotiation.
- Deliver year-one outcomes including a material pricing or packaging change, trusted forecasting infrastructure, two production agentic workflows, the annual plan and budget, board-pack sections, and improved close and finance processes.
Requirements
Background
- 6–8 years of experience in consulting, investment, banking, strategic FP&A, or BizOps.
- Experience in high-growth SaaS or PLG environments.
- End-to-end ownership of pricing, unit economics, and commercial finance.
- Experience partnering with C-suite stakeholders and working in close detail.
- Participation in a fundraise or material debt financing.
- Experience building or scaling an FP&A function in a high-growth environment.
Technical depth
- Investor-grade financial modeling, including three-statement, scenario, cohort, and unit-economics models.
- SQL fluency.
- Working knowledge of modern SaaS finance tools such as Chargebee, Xero, HubSpot, Snowflake, and ThoughtSpot, or equivalents.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA qualification.
AI and finance operations
- Experience shipping at least one end-to-end agentic workflow in a finance context, including its design, control surface, evidence trail, and measurable outcome.
- Production experience with Claude, OpenAI, or similar APIs.
