Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement scalable software solutions that optimize and scale the platform, with an emphasis on fulfillment operations.
- Develop highly scalable software using software engineering and computer science principles.
- Establish protocols for rapidly rolling out upgrades and new features.
- Analyze and optimize expensive SQL queries.
- Conduct ongoing testing and analysis of current systems, including performance analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
- Determine solutions to programming problems and refine complex architectures.
- Propose new systems to improve delivery and operational excellence.
- Leverage AI toolsets to accelerate development and establish engineering quality standards.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent.
- Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience may substitute for the master's degree and 2 years of related experience.
- 2 years of experience in the offered role or a related role.
- 2 years of experience with Java, Ruby, Python, or similar programming languages.
- 2 years of experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or similar data management systems.
- 2 years of experience with client/server and application architectures.
- 2 years of experience working with large codebases on cross-functional teams.
- 2 years of experience using advanced AI toolsets to accelerate development processes.
- 2 years of experience deriving insights from complex data sets.
Compensation
- Base salary: $214,000–$229,000 USD, dependent on permanent work location.
- Eligible for a new-hire equity grant and annual refresh grants.
