Responsibilities
- GL Accounting Leadership: Direct the global General Ledger function. Provide strategic oversight to a high-potential team, ensuring professional development and operational continuity.
- AI & Automation Strategy: Act as the primary champion for an AI-First mindset, infusing AI throughout day-to-day accounting activities. Identify and implement AI-driven solutions for anomaly detection, automated reconciliations, and predictive "close" processes to significantly increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Process Excellence & Controls: Define and execute a best-in-class monthly, quarterly and year-end close process. Implement rigorous internal controls and AI-enhanced audit trails to ensure financial reporting is both timely and precise.
- Systems & Scalability: Lead the evolution of general ledger data structures to enable an insights driven month-end close. Seamlessly integrate with modern AI agents and LLM-based data analysis tools.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Provide clear information to business owners regarding financial transactions, including Marketing, Legal, and Engineering and other departments.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership and team management roles; 2-4 years of public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience managing the accounting month-end close with extensive use of automation.
- Demonstrated success in implementing AI tools or advanced automation within an accounting function.
- Curious life-long learner ready to look around the corners and own outcomes with a desire to harness the power of AI.
- Experience in a global enterprise and experience in International Accounting is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent professional designation.
Compensation
Target total compensation ranges from $214,000 - $228,000, including a fixed annual salary of $174,000 - $188,000, an employee equity plan grant, and world-class benefits.
