About the role
Responsibilities
- Build new features in our web platform to help farmers better understand their data.
- Develop for our backend, frontend, UI/UX, and database.
- Ship scalable software that analyzes hundreds of millions of fruit in a farm.
- Wrangle large amounts of fruit data (on the scale of billions).
- Iterate quickly on customer feedback.
- Maintain and develop our cloud infrastructure.
- Optimize systems to be fast (i.e. query and calculate statistics for millions of fruit at a time).
Requirements
- Comfortable working with cloud (Google Cloud), React frontend, Python/Flask backend, and databases (PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on experience building production-quality web apps at scale.
- Hard worker with relentless persistence.
- Comfortable moving fast, learning new things, and working with high autonomy.
- Comfortable working on all parts of the stack.
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience building web apps around very large amounts of data.
- Experience building bespoke RESTful APIs.
- Experience with GIS data and systems.
- Experience with data security and permissions management.
