Senior Webinar & Digital Events Strategist

Own webinar and digital events strategy for OpenAI's B2B demand generation, designing high-quality experiences that convert engagement into qualified pipeline. Requires 10+ years building B2B programs that drive demand (not just attendance) in technical categories, with strong audience, measurement, and cross-functional leadership skills.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Own the webinar and digital events strategy, including audience priorities, portfolio architecture, editorial themes, formats, calendar, investment decisions, and success measures.
  • Design experiences for specific buyer needs and journey stages, with a clear value exchange, CTA, follow-up path, and connection to broader campaigns.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Content, speakers, customers, and subject-matter experts to create differentiated programs that make complex AI topics useful and concrete.
  • Work closely with the Webinar Marketing Manager and production partners to translate strategy into clear briefs, run-of-show requirements, launch plans, QA, and delivery standards.
  • Build integrated pre- and post-event motions across paid, email, web, social, SDR, Sales, and account-based channels to reach the right audiences and sustain momentum.
  • Establish qualification, routing, seller context, and follow-up expectations so high-intent engagement receives timely and relevant action.
  • Define measurement across audience quality, registration-to-attendance, engagement, CTA behavior, qualified leads, account progression, pipeline, and content reuse.
  • Use performance data and audience feedback to improve the portfolio, retire low-value formats, and create reusable programming and activation playbooks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience across B2B webinars, digital events, experience marketing, content programming, or integrated campaigns, ideally within a complex or technical category.
  • Track record of building programs that create qualified demand and pipeline—not simply registrations, attendance, or engagement.
  • Strong understanding of audience strategy, programming, speaker development, digital attendee journeys, promotion, production, follow-up, and measurement.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional programs with executives, subject-matter experts, customers, agencies, technical partners, and sales teams.
  • Excellent editorial judgment and the ability to translate sophisticated ideas into clear, compelling audience experiences.
  • Strong analytical discipline and comfort using audience, engagement, conversion, and pipeline data to make portfolio and investment decisions.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on problem solving in high-visibility, fast-moving environments.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and its potential to improve experience design, content workflows, audience intelligence, and personalization.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in a complex or technical category (e.g. AI).
