Responsibilities
- Design, develop, edit, and deliver accurate, effective developer documentation for Okta products.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, QA, Support, and Information Development teams to ensure content quality and accuracy.
- Follow documentation guidelines to produce high-quality documentation.
- Prioritize projects across multiple engineering teams.
- Collaborate with developers to review API documentation.
- Analyze customer feedback to improve content depth, quality, and relevance.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience writing documentation for cloud or enterprise products.
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in Technical Writing preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience writing SDK, CLI, or developer-tools documentation.
- Experience writing developer documentation and release notes.
- Experience with Markdown, Visual Studio Code, Acrolinx, Git, and GitHub.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong collaboration skills with writers and cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to understand real-world applications of security products and produce use-case-based content.
- Knowledge of Okta or similar identity and access management solutions.
- Experience with DITA, OpenAPI, and API management or publishing platforms.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
