Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Applied Field Engineers specializing in Snowflake's AI/ML products, including Cortex AI, ML modeling, and agentic workflows.
  • Drive customer product adoption, scalable AI/ML workloads, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Coach engineers on mapping AI/ML capabilities to customer use cases and data strategies.
  • Review customer architectures to maximize platform value and minimize technical debt.
  • Participate in strategic customer conversations as a player/coach, positioning Snowflake products against requirements and alternatives.
  • Own the field-to-product feedback loop by synthesizing customer insights, product gaps, and adoption blockers.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, and Sales leadership on roadmaps, product materials, beta programs, and resource alignment.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop Applied Field Engineers.
  • Run internal enablement on Cortex, agent frameworks, and ML platform features.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technical field roles such as pre-sales, solutions engineering, product specialization, or technical consulting.
  • 2+ years of people-management experience leading technical or product specialist teams.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing product roadmaps and translating customer feedback into product requirements.
  • Hands-on expertise in at least two of: LLMs/GenAI, ML model development and deployment, MLOps, Snowflake Cortex, or cloud-native AI/ML platforms.
  • Ability to drive product adoption and measurable customer value.
  • Executive presence with VP- and Director-level technical and business stakeholders.
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Compensation

  • Salary range: $207,000–$271,688.
