Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of senior engineers working across AI, onboarding, growth, and product platform infrastructure.
- Set the technical direction for AI-first company onboarding, including architecture, abstractions, APIs, agent interfaces, and platform primitives.
- Build systems that understand customer-provided information, orchestrate product workflows, validate completion, and automate implementation.
- Partner with Product and Design to build self-serve and product-led growth experiences that improve activation, conversion, expansion, and time-to-value.
- Build shared experiences and growth mechanisms that increase discovery, engagement, and adoption of Rippling AI.
- Identify common patterns across product teams and turn them into scalable platform abstractions.
- Set technical and product direction for high-traffic customer-facing surfaces, balancing usability, performance, reliability, experimentation velocity, and architectural quality.
- Participate directly in architecture and system design across distributed systems, workflow orchestration, APIs, data models, agentic systems, observability, and platform abstractions.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, AI, Growth, and engineering leaders across the organization.
- Shape long-term architecture and product strategy for an expanding team charter.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading strong engineering teams in fast-moving environments.
- Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining senior technical talent.
- Deep technical judgment and strong product instincts.
- Ability to lead ambiguous, cross-functional problems and establish durable technical principles.
- Experience with distributed systems, workflow orchestration, APIs, data models, observability, and platform abstractions.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $207,000–$345,000
