Principal Enterprise Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead and define the overall architecture, data strategy, and cloud strategy for the largest client accounts.
• Engage C-level customers to align their strategic objectives with the technical strategy.
• Bridge Celonis product and engineering teams with client teams to provide technical services.
• Assess the IT landscape maturity of the customer installed base for the region.
• Participate in pre-sales and post-sales phases with customer architecture and security teams.
• Coach and guide consulting teams and ecosystem partners on architecture, integration, performance, scalability, and technical implementation issues.
• Develop reusable assets for consulting projects.
• Create customer-facing position papers, assets, and thought-leadership presentations on architecture and innovation.
• Create technical designs and presentations for internal and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• 15–25 years of relevant experience as a software vendor architect, consulting CTO, or customer enterprise architect.
• Strong background in data architecture, integration patterns, and data-related development using languages such as SQL and Python.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and creativity skills.
• Ability to explain architecture diagrams and code or assemble architecture demos.
• Strong technical background in system integrations, data operations, and automation.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions, cybersecurity fundamentals, API ecosystems, and legacy on-premises enterprise architectures.
• Fluency in English; Spanish, French, or Italian is advantageous.
• MSc degree in Computer Science or an equivalent information-technology-related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Celonis certification and experience with OCPM and case-centric data pipelines.
• AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications.
• ESB or ETL certifications, including MuleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Talend, or Informatica.
• TOGAF or Zachman certification.
• Experience in at least two domains among finance, manufacturing, supply chain, customer or consumer management, HR, and procurement.
• Experience in at least two industries among consumer goods, banking, pharma, aerospace, telecommunications, and transport.
