Ocean Operations Specialist
Manages ocean freight bookings, documentation, shipment exceptions, special freight, vendors, and export processes while supporting clients and internal teams. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, strong problem-solving skills, and preferably 1–2 years of logistics or supply chain experience.

Responsibilities
- Execute booking and documentation processes with clients and carriers.
- Troubleshoot shipments promptly and handle or escalate exceptions.
- Work with account management and planning teams to ensure effective end-to-end export processes.
- Plan and execute special freight operations, including dangerous goods and refrigerated freight.
- Assist associates with new business and process implementation, projects, and new tasks.
- Support internal and external clients with operational expertise.
- Maintain high standards for operational quality and service.
- Identify business process and software capability needs to support team growth while improving quality, service, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to developing and implementing procedures and systems that differentiate Flexport operations.
- Manage vendor relationships and help create innovative operational structures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent BA/BS qualification.
- Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, freight forwarding, supply chain, or consulting. High-performing fresh graduates may be considered.
- Hands-on, process-oriented, and structured approach to problem solving.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strategic vision combined with ground-level execution.
- Client-service mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to work outside office hours and occasional weekend or night shifts where required.
