About the role
Own the GTM systems architecture
Define and maintain the target architecture for our GTM systems ecosystem (Salesforce, HubSpot, Clay, enrichment, engagement, telephony, billing, analytics).
Define canonical GTM systems architecture including system-of-record boundaries, key data domains, integration patterns, and architecture decision records.
Design and build scalable, maintainable solutions for the most complex, cross-system initiatives.
Review and guide solution designs across the Business Systems & Tools team.
Establish and evangelize standards for integration patterns, data design, deployment practices, release governance, and documentation.
Mentor engineers on architecture and technical decision-making through influence and expertise.
Act as the primary technical counterpart to GTM teams
Partner with Sales, BAS, and B@W stakeholders to understand workflows, frame problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and translate needs into system designs.
Serve as resident thought leader on GTM systems; track market trends especially in AI-driven GTM tooling and data enrichment; proactively bring new approaches and pressure-test vendor claims.
Collaborate with Data and Product/Engineering teams on systems integration, data contracts, and data integrity.
Lead the hardest cross-system work
Step into highest-priority or highest-risk initiatives requiring deep architectural ownership, especially spanning multiple tools, teams, or processes.
Lead technical diligence and implementation architecture for new tools and major platform changes: define requirements, assess fit, coordinate security and integration design, guide through UAT and cutover.
Architecture & Systems Depth
Deep expertise with Salesforce as core system of record for GTM (declarative, programmatic, integration approaches) and architectural judgment to choose right patterns based on scale, maintainability, risk, downstream data implications.
Demonstrated experience owning architecture for a multi-tool GTM stack in B2B or SaaS: designing integrations, defining data flows, managing system dependencies at scale.
Strong understanding of integration design patterns (APIs, middleware, event-driven flows) and implications for reliability, reporting, UX, operational support.
Experience with marketing automation and sales engagement platforms (HubSpot strongly preferred), GTM data enrichment/orchestration tooling; Clay or similar signal-based automation a significant plus.
Solid data literacy: defining data contracts, validating data across systems, partnering with data and analytics teams.
Strong judgment on permissions, auditability, release risk, and data governance.
Technical Leadership
Track record operating as staff-level or lead IC: setting technical direction, reviewing designs, raising quality without formal management authority.
Proven ability to own ambiguous, high-stakes projects end-to-end with minimal oversight.
Experience defining durable architecture artifacts and operating mechanisms.
Experience running or contributing to vendor evaluations and platform migrations, including technical diligence, security, and implementation planning.
Consultative Partnership
Strong consultative mindset: ask right questions, challenge assumptions, make tradeoffs transparent, co-create solutions in ambiguous environments.
Proven ability to build trust with GTM leaders, represent systems thinking in cross-functional forums, translate between technical and business audiences.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, clear documentation, crisp design docs, skimmable updates.
Nice to Have
Salesforce architect-track certifications (Application Architect, System Architect, Integration Architecture Designer).
Experience with AI-driven GTM workflows (automated enrichment, outbound orchestration, conversation intelligence writing back to CRM).
