Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Support Services scoping in pre-sales, ensuring the right Services are positioned in line with the proposed Celonis solution architecture.
• Design end-to-end Celonis solution architectures for complex enterprise deployments spanning multiple process areas, business units, and geographies.
• Define technical blueprints for integrating the Celonis platform with customer systems, data strategies, and transformation goals.
• Design secure, scalable architectures for complex enterprise requirements, optimizing for long-term usage growth and high concurrency.
• Make architectural trade-off decisions, including build versus configure, custom versus standard, and phased versus big-bang approaches.
• Own solution quality and outcome delivery across engagements through design reviews and architectural standards.

AI Orchestration & Delivery Innovation

• Design how AI deployment agents, including Apollo, are used across complex, multi-workstream engagements.
• Define agent workflows, validation checkpoints, and quality gates.
• Develop reusable specifications, templates, and patterns that help Deployment Engineers direct AI agents effectively.
• Pioneer delivery approaches that use AI to compress timelines, improve quality, and unlock new use cases.
• Set standards for AI output validation.

Customer Strategy & Advisory

• Serve as a senior technical advisor to strategic customers and build relationships with VP and C-level stakeholders.
• Translate customer challenges into Celonis platform strategies, identifying high-impact use cases and success metrics.
• Support pre-sales by validating solution feasibility and shaping project scope.
• Guide customers through Process Intelligence maturity, platform expansion, AI readiness, and organizational change.
• Establish technical advisor relationships with customer data and transformation stakeholders.

Successful Implementation

• Work with Deployment Engineers on complex and cutting-edge customer use cases.
• Implement early-stage Celonis products and maintain feedback cycles with Product and Engineering.
• Review solution blueprints for quality, scalability, and production readiness.

Domain & Industry Depth

• Develop expertise in process domains such as Supply Chain, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and IT Service Management, or in industry verticals.
• Translate domain knowledge into scalable solution patterns, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Identify and standardize high-value use cases with Deployment Engineering, Product, and Business Apps teams.

Practice Development

• Contribute to hiring by defining expectations for the Deployment job family, conducting interviews, and calibrating assessments.
• Share knowledge through enablement sessions, documentation, and communities of practice.
• Feed customer insights and field experience back into platform development and roadmap planning.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical consulting, solution architecture, or delivery leadership within enterprise software, consulting firms, or system integrators.
• At least 3 years in a senior or lead technical role with multi-stakeholder responsibility on large-scale projects.
• Proven ability to design complex, multi-component solutions spanning data integration, process intelligence, automation, and AI.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and trade-offs.
• Expert-level knowledge of the Celonis platform.

Role Scope

• Work across multiple engagements and shape solutions across a portfolio, cluster, or industry vertical, typically covering 4+ concurrent clients.
• Influence solution architecture, AI orchestration patterns, and delivery quality across the practice.
• Bridge pre-sales and post-sales to ensure continuity between sold and delivered solutions.
• Multiply the effectiveness of Deployment Engineers through standards and reusable practices.
