Responsibilities
- Manage assigned payroll workflows across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, including country-specific statutory payments, filings, pensions, tax submissions, and recurring payroll deadlines.
- Investigate and resolve customer, tax, filing, and compliance issues; escalate complex matters with clear context, evidence, and recommended next steps.
- Coordinate with government agencies, including the ATO, IRD, IRAS, CPF Board, and Ministry of Manpower.
- Maintain timely communication with customers, government agencies, and cross-functional partners.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Payroll Operations to improve payroll accuracy, product quality, tooling, and operational workflows.
- Create and maintain Jira tickets, case records, audits, reconciliations, documentation, and SOPs.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of payroll operations experience across Australia, New Zealand, and/or Singapore.
- Experience with country-specific statutory filings, payments, pensions, tax submissions, year-end processes, and agency interactions.
- Experience managing payroll cases, customer queries, operational tickets, reconciliations, audits, or recurring payroll deadlines with minimal follow-up.
- Ability to resolve moderately complex payroll issues, identify root causes, and escalate when necessary.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality in time-sensitive payroll environments.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office for data analysis and workflow management.
- Ability to work Australian Eastern Standard Time hours, approximately 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM IST.

- Familiarity with Salesforce, Jira, and Confluence.
