Responsibilities
- Build scalable accounting processes to support global growth in payment processing accounting.
- Partner with Product, go-to-market, Finance, Systems, and Engineering teams to understand new products, features, and contracts.
- Improve financial systems and automate accounting processes.
- Assess internal controls and design processes and controls for emerging business activities.
- Develop and maintain accounting procedure documentation.
- Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, financial reporting deliverables, and reviews.
- Produce management analyses and reporting.
- Support external audit processes.
Requirements
- Professional accountancy qualification such as CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with monthly or quarterly close processes, journal-entry preparation and posting, audits, regulatory reporting, financial-statement preparation, and accounting systems.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606, and experience with internal controls.
- Ability to structure ambiguous work, solve problems using Excel, build systems and automation, collaborate across functions and cultures, and adapt to changing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the technology or payments industry.
- Experience with Oracle Suite.
- Experience with data-querying and analysis tools, including SQL.
- Experience with data-analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, KNIME, Python, or Alteryx.
