Head of Corporate Development
Leads Temporal’s M&A strategy and builds a seed investment program for companies extending its platform. The role requires 10+ years in corporate development or investing, strong modeling and valuation expertise, and the ability to work with Product and Engineering leadership.

Responsibilities
- Build and manage the full M&A pipeline, including target identification, strategic rationale, diligence, term structuring and negotiation, and deal execution through close and integration handoff.
- Design and launch an ecosystem investment program covering investment thesis, mandate, check sizes, sourcing, and governance.
- Own investment execution from sourcing and diligence through term negotiation, board or observer rights, portfolio monitoring, and reporting.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to align acquisition and investment targets with the platform roadmap and determine when to build, buy, partner, or invest.
- Develop and maintain a market map of the ecosystem, tracking companies, competitive dynamics, and opportunities for partnership, investment, or acquisition.
- Build financial models and valuation analyses and present recommendations to executive leadership and the board.
- Manage relationships with bankers, lawyers, venture capitalists, and founders.
- Establish scalable processes, templates, and governance for M&A and investment activities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in corporate development, venture capital or growth investing, investment banking, or private equity.
- Experience with both M&A and minority investing preferred.
- Track record of independently sourcing, structuring, and closing deals from initial conversation through signed agreement.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and diligence skills.
- Sound commercial judgment and ability to translate technical and platform strategy into deal criteria.
- Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams.
- Familiarity with developer tools, infrastructure, or platform ecosystems.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with founders, investors, and executives.
- Ability to operate effectively with significant ambiguity.

- Direct knowledge of Temporal or workflow orchestration.
