Account Executive
The Account Executive will acquire and close new channel-partner relationships across an assigned U.S. territory, building pipeline through outbound prospecting and managing negotiations. The role requires at least five years of new-business or partner-acquisition sales experience, quota attainment, and strong CRM and communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Acquire new partner relationships to expand market coverage and drive profitable revenue growth.
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance goals.
- Evaluate partner capacity against market opportunity and identify acquisition needs to fill coverage gaps.
- Create and proactively manage a partner prospect list, prioritizing high-value prospects for short- and long-term objectives.
- Lead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making, overcome objections, and close new revenue through partner recruitment and acquisition.
- Participate in relevant industry organizations and help influence industry norms.
- Relay partner and merchant needs, buying behavior, industry trends, growth opportunities, and product development opportunities.
- Maintain current knowledge of NMI products, software, and services.
- Maintain accurate sales and account-management records using written, oral, and Salesforce.com updates.
Requirements
- 5+ years of sales experience focused on new customer or channel-partner acquisition.
- Proven ability to generate new revenue and meet or exceed quotas in a hunting-oriented sales role.
- Strong business acumen and a hunter mentality, with the ability to generate and qualify new business.
- Results-driven, energetic, and entrepreneurial approach.
- Understanding of cold calling and prospecting as drivers of sales performance.
- Ability to target opportunities based on potential, profitability, and likelihood of success.
- Ability to build relationships and quickly develop trust with key personnel and executive leadership.
- Ability to communicate product features and benefits compellingly and demonstrate value to partners and end users.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office applications.
