Principal Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transformational customer programs, define project outcomes, and steer delivery toward them.
• Plan, schedule, and manage project timelines and activities from kickoff through training.
• Manage resources, schedules, scope, and budgets across multiple projects.
• Maintain detailed project plans, risk/issue/action logs, and portfolio reporting in the Professional Services Automation system.
• Collaborate with senior executives, process owners, technical teams, partners, and customer sponsors to understand goals and ensure successful implementation.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for product feature requests and support escalations.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, and action items regularly.
• Proactively manage and escalate risks and issues to minimize impact on project success.
• Mentor implementation teams, including partner resources, and ensure adherence to Celonis methodologies.
• Identify additional customer Services needs and contribute to improving Services methods and best practices.
• Support pre-sales activities by positioning Services, developing value propositions, and creating proposals and statements of work.

Requirements

• Client-facing project management experience delivering enterprise software implementations and managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Extensive experience with project management disciplines, including project planning, risk and issue management, and problem resolution.
• Strong communication and consulting skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and project timelines.
• Experience managing consulting teams across onshore and offshore locations.
• Experience positioning Services and writing proposals and statements of work within customer and partner ecosystems.
• Experience working with partners in managed co-delivery models.
• Ability to set and manage customer expectations effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply technology solutions to core business problems.
• Willingness to become certified in Celonis products.
• Fluency in German.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or Agile project management certification.
