Senior Developer Advocate
The Senior Developer Advocate will build API demos and integrations, write technical content, speak to developer audiences, and channel practitioner feedback into internal teams. The role requires technical credibility, programming and API experience, public technical work, and knowledge of incident management and reliability.

Responsibilities
- Build sample applications, integrations, and demonstrations using the PagerDuty API, including AI and agentic capabilities.
- Write technical content for practitioners, including tutorials, deep dives, teardowns, and technical perspectives.
- Present at conferences, meetups, webinars, podcasts, and in video content.
- Participate in developer communities and external discussions about operations, reliability, and AI engineering.
- Provide internal teams with actionable feedback from developer and practitioner communities.
- Create systems that help engineers, product marketers, and community champions scale advocacy through writing and speaking.
Requirements
- Experience in developer advocacy, developer relations, community, solutions engineering, support engineering, SRE, or another technical role serving developers.
- Demonstrated technical credibility through live demonstrations and real-world execution.
- Experience with incident management and reliability processes, including experience carrying a pager.
- Proficiency in 1–2 programming languages and familiarity with APIs.
- Ability to become productive quickly in unfamiliar technical environments.
- Public body of technical work, such as writing, talks, demos, code repositories, videos, or streams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple formats.
- Active participation in technical developer communities.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for conferences, meetups, and team gatherings.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with security-conscious or compliance-heavy developer audiences.
- Hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks or modern AI tooling.
- Experience running production systems at scale.
- Contributions to open source projects.
- Customer-facing experience in technical support or solutions engineering.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: 131000–220000 USD.
- Potential eligibility for bonus, commission, equity, and benefits.
