Director, IT

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and day-to-day execution for IT Operations and Systems & Network Engineering, including end-user support, endpoint management, identity, collaboration, and network infrastructure.
• Own A/V, conference room, and live production technology, partnering with Communications and Workplace on all-hands, executive broadcasts, and live events.
• Lead, coach, and grow a team of managers and senior engineers, and establish new IT infrastructure engineering roles as the function scales.
• Set and maintain service-level standards for global IT, including response times, uptime, and employee experience across offices and regions.
• Drive the technical roadmap for systems and network architecture, including identity lifecycle, SCIM/SAML/SSO, zero-trust network design, and high-availability infrastructure.
• Partner with Security to ensure systems and processes meet requirements for SOC 2, encryption at rest and in transit, and SSO/SCIM for systems handling employee data.
• Own IT infrastructure delivery for office buildouts and global expansion, working with Workplace and vendors from design through go-live.
• Manage the IT operations and infrastructure budget, vendor relationships, and procurement in partnership with Finance and Procurement.
• Establish operational rigor through change control, incident and root-cause processes, asset management, and ITSM practices.
• Build a roadmap and reporting cadence that gives leadership visibility into IT health, risk, and investment.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT operations and/or systems and network engineering, including at least 4 years leading teams such as managers or senior individual contributors.
• Deep hands-on experience with modern IT infrastructure, including identity and access management such as Okta, endpoint management such as JAMF/MDM, cloud collaboration platforms such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, and enterprise networking.
• Experience scaling IT operations and infrastructure in a high-growth company, including multi-office or global environments.
• Security-first judgment and experience partnering with Security or Compliance teams; understanding of SOC 2, SSO/SCIM, and data protection requirements.
• Experience owning budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with non-technical teams.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, global environment.

• Experience overseeing A/V, conference room, or live event production technology, or managing a media/production function.
• Experience supporting a security-conscious or regulated environment such as legal, fintech, or healthcare.

Compensation

• $224,000 - $336,000 USD
