Responsibilities

  • Set the mission, vision, and multi-year strategy for Docker’s Information Technology organization.
  • Build a metrics-driven, business-focused IT organization with continual service improvement practices.
  • Lead enterprise-wide help desk services, application management, device lifecycle logistics, and employee productivity tooling.
  • Assess, architect, and right-size the applications footprint to enable connected systems, trusted information flow, and proactive decision-making.
  • Establish relationships with technical leaders and business executives to align IT services with business needs.
  • Anticipate and address technology debt, technical dependencies, and future scaling requirements.
  • Develop service workflows, key performance indicators, service-level agreements, and real-time operational metrics.
  • Motivate teams, promote technical advancements and best practices, and drive timely program execution.
  • Optimize IT practices and solutions for internal and external customer impact.
  • Partner with executives to identify how IT can support business and financial goals.
  • Ensure employees receive workstations, accessories, and other IT productivity tools with high-quality service levels.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of global IT leadership experience, preferably in a fast-moving technology startup.
  • Ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop processes to achieve them.
  • Ability to formulate high-level strategy, translate it into tactical plans, and execute those plans.
  • AI- and automation-first mindset, including proactively consolidating and managing systems and knowledge.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience with modern SaaS and cloud-based infrastructures.
  • Experience implementing and scaling enterprise application ecosystems.

Compensation

  • United States base salary: $207,550–$296,500, plus equity.
  • Technology stipend equivalent to US$100 net per month.
  • Equity for all full-time employees.
  • Benefits include medical coverage, retirement benefits, paid holidays, paid parental leave, paid time off, and learning and development support; offerings vary by country.
