About the role
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end pricing of complex reinsurance treaties, including assumption development, cash flow projection, and risk/return optimization
Develop, oversee, and enhance actuarial models, setting methodology standards and driving continuous improvement through dedicated project work
Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for internal and external audiences
Serve as SME to support the creation and maintenance of appropriate pricing risk governance controls
Collaborate across reinsurance, data science, engineering, and security teams to shape data-driven solutions
Act as an ambassador for the actuarial team, fostering a solutions-driven approach and meeting stakeholder needs
Requirements
8+ years of experience in Insurance pricing, with at least 4+ years in Reinsurance
ACAS or FCAS certification
Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives
Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science or related field
Strong understanding of actuarial pricing and various reinsurance treaty structures
Excellent communication skills, including ability to convey clear information and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines
Ability to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, data-driven way
Ability to think long-term strategically and operationally, balancing short-term deliveries with long-term business outcomes
Ability to influence partners and build strong relationships
Ability to develop, assess, and monitor business metrics to optimize pricing proposals
