Senior Revenue Accountant
The Senior Revenue Accountant will manage revenue close activities, ASC 606 contract assessments, reconciliations, audits, and scalable accounting processes for complex usage-based commercial arrangements. The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, strong technical accounting expertise, and a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities
- Support the monthly revenue close, including revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Perform ASC 606 contract reviews and document revenue recognition conclusions.
- Evaluate usage-based pricing, committed spend, minimum commitments, credits, discounts, contract modifications, renewals, and other non-standard terms.
- Maintain and reconcile schedules for revenue, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, and customer credits.
- Reconcile revenue recognition data with billing, usage, contract, and general ledger data; investigate discrepancies.
- Develop revenue accounting workbooks, rollforwards, audit trails, and supporting documentation.
- Partner with Billing, Revenue Operations, Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Finance, and Systems on contracts, products, pricing, billing, and accounting implications.
- Support accounting assessments and operationalization of new products and SKUs.
- Prepare technical accounting memos and documentation for complex revenue conclusions.
- Support external audits with schedules, samples, reconciliations, and responses to auditor inquiries.
- Improve and automate revenue accounting processes, controls, reconciliations, reporting, and system data flows.
- Help design and maintain internal controls and scalable revenue accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including significant revenue recognition experience.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and customer contract evaluation.
- Experience with large datasets and reconciliations across multiple systems.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment and translate technical accounting requirements for non-accounting stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves
- CPA certification.
- Experience with SaaS, cloud infrastructure, AI, technology, or usage- and consumption-based business models.
- NetSuite or another major ERP system.
- SQL or experience working directly with data warehouses.
