About the job

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of budgets and forecasts, including headcount, compensation, and vendor spend.
  • Serve as a financial partner to cross-functional teams, advising on financial decisions, strategy, and performance improvement.
  • Track and analyze expenses against approved budgets and identify cost-efficiency opportunities.
  • Analyze financial results, perform detailed variance analyses, and communicate recommendations to improve performance.
  • Deliver regular and ad hoc financial reports to the CFO and senior G&A leaders, with commentary on trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and other departments to ensure financial data integrity and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for scenario analysis, long-term planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Improve financial processes and identify opportunities to deploy AI for greater efficiency and accuracy in reporting and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or similar roles, preferably in fintech, consumer finance, or technology.
  • Experience providing financial insights to senior leadership.
  • Expert financial modeling skills and advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Proven integration of AI tools into current or prior roles.
  • Experience streamlining and improving financial processes.
  • Strong collaboration, business partnering, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience reporting to or working directly with a CFO or Head of FP&A.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.
  • Experience with financial modeling tools and ERP systems.
  • Experience working with G&A functions.
