Responsibilities
Backend Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Build high-performance, reliable microservices for large-scale workloads.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, production-quality code.
- Develop reusable components and services following engineering best practices.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to system architecture.
System Performance and Reliability
- Optimize backend services for scalability, performance, and availability.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Improve reliability through monitoring, logging, testing, and observability.
- Participate in incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
Collaboration
- Work with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and engineers to deliver high-quality features.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Share knowledge and collaborate on technical challenges.
- Contribute to improvements in engineering practices, testing, and software development lifecycle processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on backend software development experience.
- Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience with JavaScript, Go, Java, Python, C#, or similar backend technologies, with willingness to work extensively with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.
- Knowledge of caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and message queues.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Sentry, ELK, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing, and debugging.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-scale SaaS products.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar distributed-systems technologies.
- Experience optimizing backend systems for performance and scalability.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
