Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of the CRM Opportunities backend, translating business and customer needs into scalable production services.
- Design and evolve data models for pipelines, stages, deals, and related entities.
- Build and scale APIs, event-driven workflows, and background jobs for high-volume writes, automations, and integrations.
- Address distributed-systems concerns including idempotency, eventual consistency, race conditions, hot tenants, and noisy-neighbor isolation.
- Improve performance and reliability for large pipelines through indexing, sharding, caching, and query optimization.
- Ship occasional end-to-end UI changes in Vue.js.
- Instrument systems with logs, metrics, traces, and SLOs.
- Lead incident response, postmortems, and engineering hygiene.
Requirements
- 4+ years building and operating production backend systems at scale.
- Strong fundamentals in SQL and NoSQL data modeling, API design, and distributed systems.
- Production experience with Node.js or Go.
- Experience owning services end-to-end, including design, development, deployment, and on-call operations.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous problem spaces with high ownership.
- Understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability trade-offs.
- Experience building CRM, sales, pipeline, or workflow products.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS at scale, including sharding, tenant isolation, and fair-use limits.
- Familiarity with event streaming, queues, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience with databases or search systems such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or ClickHouse at meaningful scale.
- Frontend fluency in Vue.js sufficient to ship features independently.
- Strong product judgment and a portfolio or GitHub demonstrating shipped work.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Kafka or Redis Streams.
- Experience with large-scale indexing, caching, query optimization, and operational instrumentation.
