Senior HR Business Partner supporting Engineering and Product leaders on talent strategy, organizational design, manager coaching, performance, and complex people matters. The role requires 8+ years of HRBP experience, startup experience, and a track record of building people programs from 0 to 1.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering and Product leaders on talent, organizational, and people decisions.
- Coach managers on performance, feedback, team effectiveness, development, and difficult employee situations.
- Identify growth needs for high-performing employees and turn them into practical development opportunities.
- Build development programs from 0 to 1, including problem identification, design, launch, adoption, and iteration.
- Advise on organizational design, role clarity, succession planning, and talent movement.
- Run talent and performance processes for Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD), emphasizing judgment and outcomes.
- Identify patterns across teams and provide recommendations to leaders and the People team.
- Collaborate with Recruiting, People Operations, and the broader People team.
- Balance strategic advising with hands-on execution.
Requirements
- 8+ years of HR Business Partner experience.
- Experience partnering with Engineering, Product, or similarly technical organizations.
- Experience working in a fast-growing startup.
- Demonstrated ability to build and launch development, talent, or manager programs from 0 to 1.
- Strong judgment in complex people situations and ability to make clear recommendations.
- Ability to coach and challenge experienced managers and leaders.
- High-performance orientation, including differentiating performance and addressing performance issues directly.
- Operator mindset and willingness to execute hands-on.
- Clear, direct, low-ego communication.
- Ability to work in the San Francisco office five days per week.
Compensation & Benefits
- $180,000–$240,000 salary, plus an aggressive bi-annual performance bonus structure and meaningful equity.
