Staff Product Manager - Email Marketing

Leads the strategy and execution of HighLevel’s Email Marketing platform, including AI-native creation, campaign automation, analytics, and preference management. Requires 8+ years of product management experience and a track record building intuitive SaaS tools with AI/ML integrations.

Responsibilities

Build Email Creation Experiences

  • Own the end-to-end Email Builder experience, including drag-and-drop editors, custom HTML tools, reusable visual components, responsive templates, and real-time collaborative editing.
  • Build an AI-native email editor that generates complete, high-converting email layouts from natural-language prompts.
  • Lead prompt-to-layout email generation for non-technical marketers.
  • Deliver multivariate experimentation tools for subject lines, body copy, layouts, and calls to action.

Transform Email Marketing Through AI

  • Define the vision and execution strategy for Email AI, including automated campaign generation, brand-aware messaging, localized and multilingual copy, and intelligent optimization.
  • Build Sequence AI to create multi-step lifecycle journeys for onboarding, lead nurture, abandoned-cart recovery, upsells, and re-engagement.
  • Partner with AI teams on prompt-based workflow creation, predictive recommendations, and autonomous campaign creation.
  • Establish responsible-AI guardrails for brand voice, content quality, and privacy compliance.

Build Campaign Delivery and Automation Workflows

  • Own Send Now, Scheduled Send, timezone-aware sending, and AI-powered send-time optimization.
  • Scale automated Sequences, trigger logic, dynamic branching, personalization fields, and event-driven marketing workflows.
  • Simplify campaign creation while maximizing engagement.

Drive Campaign Intelligence and Customer Insights

  • Build reporting dashboards measuring campaign execution, open and click engagement, conversion rates, attributed revenue, and ROI.
  • Deliver AI-powered recommendations to improve campaign engagement and conversion.
  • Establish product instrumentation, funnels, and experimentation frameworks to measure adoption and product-led outcomes.

Build Audience and Preference Management

  • Own subscriber preferences, consent management workflows, and preference centers.
  • Deliver preference experiences supporting global messaging compliance, including CAN-SPAM, CASL, and GDPR.

Drive Product Strategy and Execution

  • Establish a 12–18 month Email Marketing roadmap aligned with broader product strategy.
  • Conduct customer discovery, competitive analysis, and usability research.
  • Write outcome-focused PRDs and partner with Engineering, Product Design, AI, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience, with a background in SaaS product management, email marketing tools, WYSIWYG builders, or marketing automation platforms.
  • Demonstrated success building intuitive, high-adoption end-user tools such as editors, drag-and-drop builders, visual canvas tools, or content creation interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML integrations, including generative text or image tools, prompt-engineering workflows, or predictive optimization engines.
  • Strong product craft, including writing PRDs, mapping user journeys, conducting customer research, and translating complex capabilities into simple UX.
  • Experience defining product instrumentation, running A/B tests, and tracking funnel conversion metrics.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with experience driving cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Design, Product, and Go-to-Market teams.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with marketing automation workflows, drip campaigns, or lifecycle marketing tools.
  • Background in dynamic content generation, templating systems, or visual design software.
  • Experience designing features for international audiences, including localization and multilingual support.
