Senior Data Scientist

Partners with product teams to use statistical analysis, data pipelines, and quantitative research to guide product strategy and measure outcomes. The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong SQL and Python skills, product intuition, and growing proficiency with AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product teams to identify important questions and answer them with data.
  • Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop product success metrics, set targets, measure results and outcomes, and size opportunities.
  • Design, build, and update end-to-end data pipelines while driving the collection of new data and refinement of existing sources and tables.
  • Partner with product researchers to build a holistic understanding of customers, products, and the business.
  • Influence product roadmaps and strategy through exploratory analysis and quantitative research.
  • Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate analysis, coding, and insight generation.
  • Automate workflows and build scalable data products, including dashboards, models, and internal tools.
  • Improve stakeholder access to data through abstractions, semantic layers, or AI-powered interfaces.
  • Establish AI usage patterns, workflows, and best practices within RAD.
  • Communicate clear data stories and recommendations across R&D and the broader company.
  • Contribute to RAD foundations and improve team operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with data to solve problems and drive evidence-based decisions.
  • Strong SQL skills and a solid grounding in statistics.
  • Experience working closely with product teams.
  • Proven ability to deliver actionable insights that drive measurable impact with minimal supervision.
  • Strong product intuition and business acumen, with the ability to connect analysis to strategy.
  • Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills focused on decisions and outcomes.
  • Strong ownership, curiosity, and growth mindset.
  • Experience with a scientific computing language such as Python.
  • Ability to use AI tools such as Claude Code and Cursor effectively.
  • Automation mindset and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data modeling and ETL pipelines, especially dbt.
  • Experience building internal tools, data products, or self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Experience leveraging AI across ideation, coding, analysis, and communication.
