Responsibilities
- Execute and refine the payments strategy, driving monthly active account volume on Stellar.
- Grow B2B2B and B2B2C payouts and commerce, global marketplaces, payment service providers, and neobanks.
- Develop a priority target list and ensure execution against primary targets.
- Manage key strategic relationships with major accounts.
- Pursue business development opportunities related to expanding DeFi, increasing monthly addresses, and driving asset tokenization.
- Coordinate with partnership-vertical leads to surface opportunities, support deal execution, and drive relevant outcomes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant business development experience, with significant experience in global payment processing, fintech, or blockchain/crypto roles.
- Existing relationships across the enterprise, fintech, payments, and crypto ecosystems, particularly payments, real-world assets, and decentralized finance.
- Strong understanding of crypto payment systems, cryptocurrency exchanges, blockchain technology, and digital asset payments.
- Deep understanding of payment flows of funds and how blockchain can enhance them across global and local payment systems.
- Proven ability to independently develop, structure, negotiate, and close opportunities.
- Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, identifying business opportunities, and managing complex sales cycles.
- Experience working with enterprises, financial institutions, crypto companies, payment providers, or fintech startups.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, including the ability to build relationships with senior professionals and negotiate high-stakes deals.
- Entrepreneurial drive and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel as needed and represent Stellar at regional and global meetings and conferences.
Nice-to-haves
- Traditional finance institutional knowledge related to legal, regulatory, economic, and market structures across multiple geographies, including payments, venture capital, private equity, fintech, and DeFi.
- Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, or Mandarin.

- Base salary range: $145,000–$195,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
