About the role

Responsibilities

  • Define the Strategic Expansion Direction: Own the long-term vision and strategy for expansion into new markets, segments, and use cases. Build and maintain a clear expansion thesis and sequencing over a 1–3 year horizon, including adaptations to the hardware-enabled platform. Balance near-term wins with longer-term investments.
  • Lead Discovery for New Bets: Champion and execute discovery for new markets, segments, and product extensions. Define the “why” and “what” behind strategic bets and validate with customers, data, and business cases. Use AI for rapid prototyping, experiments, and customer signals.
  • Own Execution, Launch, and Iteration: Take validated bets from 0→1 through launch, partnering with Engineering, Design, Commercial, and Clinical Success. Drive post-launch iteration based on real-world signals and ensure measurable outcomes.
  • Establish Expansion Product Excellence: Introduce best-in-class practices for expansion-oriented product development, from opportunity assessment through lifecycle management.
  • Cross-Functional Expansion Leadership: Collaborate across the company to ground bets in operational and commercial realities.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate expansion vision, strategy, risks, and progress effectively.
  • Raise the AI Bar for Product Practice: Implement systematic AI use across the product lifecycle and build reusable frameworks.
  • Mentorship and Team Development: Mentor other product managers on expansion, portfolio thinking, and lifecycle management.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience, including ownership of products/initiatives driving strategic expansion (new markets, segments, or lines of business) from concept through launch and scale.
  • Experience with hardware-enabled or sensor-based systems in production, or adjacent complex multi-surface products.
  • Ability to lead ambiguous problem spaces with rigorous, outcome-oriented discovery balancing user needs, market dynamics, technical constraints, and business goals.
  • Comfort moving between strategy and execution, driving launches with cross-functional teams.
  • Systematic use of AI in product work with concrete evidence of improved speed/quality (e.g., SQL, dashboards, reusable systems).
  • Track record establishing product practices for discovery, testing, and iteration.
  • Fluency in data, feedback, and metrics to inform strategy.
  • Excellent communication to align stakeholders.
  • Product decisions with clear business impact (revenue, retention, outcomes).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with hardware-enabled AI or computer vision products using real-time device data.
  • Health tech, senior living, or regulated/safety-critical environments.
  • Managing/mentoring product managers.
  • Startup or growth-stage experience.

Compensation

  • Annual salary: $230,000–$270,000 + equity + benefits (medical, dental, vision).
