Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of product designers focused on the Maintenance & Fuel domain.
- Drive user-centered design solutions for complex workflows used by fleet managers, drivers, and operations teams.
- Partner with product and engineering on strategy, prioritization, and delivery.
- Own design execution from framing and concept development through detailed design, validation, and iteration.
- Communicate design rationale and align stakeholders, including senior leadership, through storytelling and strategic thinking.
- Evolve design systems for consistency, scalability, and efficiency across platforms.
- Champion modern AI tools for design exploration, prototyping, delivery, and cross-functional workflows.
- Mentor designers across teams and reporting lines, and foster design culture through rituals, critiques, and knowledge sharing.
- Connect regional teams with global design leadership across time zones.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing product design team in Bangalore.
- Help establish Bangalore as a product design center of excellence by sourcing, hiring, interviewing, and closing design talent in India.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in product design, including UX, UI, or interaction design.
- Experience managing and growing design teams in a SaaS environment.
- Track record designing complex, data-rich web and mobile products, ideally in fleet management, logistics, or similar domains.
- Experience working with distributed or global teams.
- Experience hiring and scaling design teams, ideally in India or similar markets.
- Experience mentoring designers and contributing to regional or team-wide design culture.
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking, systems-level problem solving, high-quality execution, and measurable business impact.
- Deep experience with design systems and scaling them across products and teams.
- Hands-on familiarity with modern AI tools and workflows.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence across disciplines.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of design's impact on product and company outcomes.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a bias toward action.
