Responsibilities
- Own full P&L responsibility for the Hong Kong market, from first customer through a scaled portfolio.
- Acquire and grow a book of middle-market business owners generating $5M to $500M+ in annual revenue across e-commerce, trade, logistics, real estate, and professional services.
- Build a local referral and partnership ecosystem spanning accountants, wealth advisors, legal firms, trade associations, and industry groups.
- Organize and host exclusive events, dinners, and roundtables for business owners in Hong Kong.
- Build relationships with founders and operators by attending industry gatherings and community events.
- Work directly with the CEO and executive team to shape Flex's Asia strategy and adapt the go-to-market playbook for the region.
- Provide market intelligence on competitive dynamics, the regulatory landscape, and customer needs.
- Hire and develop a local team as the market scales.
- Inform product roadmap decisions for international and cross-border features based on customer feedback.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or relationship management in banking targeting SMBs or middle-market companies.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or banking is preferred.
- Established relationships with founders, operators, and business advisors in Hong Kong.
- Proven track record of acquiring and retaining high-value business customers.
- Strong event-organizing and community-building skills.
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Fluency in English and Cantonese.
- Intuitive understanding of cross-border commerce, USD banking needs, and the financial complexity faced by middle-market business owners across Asia.
Nice to Have
- Mandarin proficiency.
- Familiarity with stablecoins, crypto payments, and digital asset infrastructure.
