Owns Gauntlet’s APAC business development presence, originating and closing funded partnerships with fintechs, exchanges, asset managers, and protocols. Requires 6+ years of experience, including 4+ years in APAC partnerships, BD, or sales, regional financial-institution relationships, crypto/DeFi knowledge, and fluency in an APAC language.

Responsibilities
- Own the full deal cycle for APAC partnerships: discovery, qualification, structuring, negotiation, close, and post-close activation, with funded TVL as the primary measure of success.
- Manage and grow Gauntlet's in-region relationships and convert warm introductions from investors and partners into active opportunities.
- Originate a pipeline with APAC fintechs, exchanges, asset managers, and protocols.
- Provide local-hours coverage for APAC partners and prospects and represent Gauntlet at regional events.
- Navigate regional regulatory nuance, including FSA, MAS, and the evolving stablecoin landscape, and structure partnerships that can operate within current rules.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Finance teams in the United States.
- Ramp on Gauntlet's vault products and existing APAC book, take ownership of active regional relationships and warm leads, and establish internal stakeholder relationships.
- Run a pipeline end to end, close self-sourced partnerships, and become the primary Gauntlet contact for regional partners.
Requirements
- 6+ years of work experience, including 4+ years in partnerships, business development, or sales in APAC.
- A network across fintechs, exchanges, family offices, and/or asset managers in the region.
- A track record of selling technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Experience owning complex, multi-stakeholder deals with regulated financial institutions.
- Working knowledge of crypto, DeFi, and the APAC regulatory landscape, including FSA and MAS.
- Ability to operate independently as the senior-most Gauntlet presence in the timezone and exercise judgment about when to involve the United States team.
- Strong English and business fluency in Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin.
- Ability to work autonomously without direct oversight.
- Ability to work non-standard hours to ensure overlap with United States counterparts when needed.
