Field Marketing & Growth Lead

Own Sift’s field marketing, events, community, and employer-brand programs while turning in-person activity into measurable pipeline and online content. The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience, a Bay Area hard-tech network, strong operational execution, and comfort with both brand and funnel attribution.

Responsibilities

  • Own the annual event calendar, budget, and return on investment; apply event scoring to booths, walks, and passes.
  • Build and run owned events including dinners, roundtables, and hosted formats.
  • Establish a recurring San Francisco community program for the Bay Area hardware and autonomy community.
  • Turn hosted and attended events into clips, photos, and Twitter posts.
  • Grow the company’s Twitter presence and enable employees to post alongside the company account.
  • Partner with RevOps to improve attribution and report opportunity and event-sourced pipeline metrics.
  • Systematize booth execution, including assets, shipping and staffing runbooks, collateral, lead capture, and 48-hour follow-up.
  • Develop employer-brand programs such as Working at Sift and Why I Joined, featuring engineers in content.
  • Own speaking submissions and sponsorships in coordination with communications.
  • Measure marketing programs, discontinue those that do not convert, and scale successful programs.
  • Direct video, photography, editorial, and rapid content production.
  • Manage contracts, deposits, shipping deadlines, badge scanners, and vendor invoices.
  • Build invite lists and run campaigns using CRM and marketing automation tools.
  • Travel approximately once monthly for industry events during season, regularly to Los Angeles, and periodically to Washington, DC.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in field marketing, growth, events, brand, or community, with ownership of a calendar, budget, and measurable target.
  • Experience helping a company become a desirable workplace, with clear ownership of the work performed.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn in-person events into online content and engagement.
  • Strong Twitter presence or fluency, particularly in hard tech and defense tech.
  • Track record of running successful hosted events or community formats.
  • Bay Area network in hard tech, defense tech, robotics, or autonomy.
  • Ability to balance brand experience with measurable funnel and attribution outcomes.
  • Production skills across video, photography, and editorial content.
  • Strong operational execution across contracts, vendors, logistics, and event follow-up.
  • Comfort with CRM and marketing automation systems.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • U.S. Person status required for ITAR/EAR compliance.

  • Experience marketing in NDA-constrained environments.
  • Experience opening a new market or city.
  • Relationships with San Francisco venue, production, and experiential vendors.
  • Experience with partner marketing and co-marketing, including shared booths and co-hosted events.

Compensation

  • $125,000–$175,000 per year.
